Some cases of endodontic treatments show persistent symptoms, such as pain, tenderness and/or swelling. The onset of these symptoms is usually observed after a certain period of time following the completion of the initial treatment. In these cases it is necessary to repeat treatment by a specialized dentist (endodontist), when of course the tooth is considered restorable.
