Orthodontic treatment in adults

Adult orthodontics refers to patients who, during their childhood, did not perform orthodontic treatment for various causes or had treatment but recurred over time. In some patients the results of periodontal disease, such as tooth movement, or other prosthetic requirements could be addressed by orthodontic treatment. In adult orthodontics aesthetics has a prime role, so the techniques and mechanisms used are very discreet, such as transparent guides and white braces.
