Treatment overview
Preventive orthodontics for children
Preventive orthodontics provides early orthodontic guidance for children who have lost teeth early or show important orthodontic problems at a young age. These may include child tooth alignment concerns, crowding, thumb-sucking habits, tongue interference, crossbite with mandibular deviation, prominent upper front teeth, or early skeletal growth differences.
The appliances used may be removable, extraoral, or intraoral, depending on the clinical need and the bite concerns being addressed. They are worn according to the orthodontist's instructions, and good oral hygiene is essential for a successful outcome.
