Orthodontic treatment for children

Orthodontic treatment in children is planned after assessing tooth eruption, jaw development, and the bite relationship. It commonly concerns children from around 9 years of age when child tooth alignment, crooked teeth, or bite concerns need clinical evaluation.

The goals of treatment are to:

  1. Improve smile and facial aesthetics.
  2. Create better conditions for daily oral hygiene.
  3. Establish a more harmonious relationship between teeth and jaws.
  4. Improve chewing function.
  5. Support clearer oral function where tooth position affects speech.
