Treatment overview
Tooth-colored fillings
Tooth decay is one of the most common causes of tooth damage and tooth loss. It is caused by bacteria in dental plaque, combined with diet and oral hygiene factors that allow acids to damage the tooth surface. Deep tooth decay or a broken filling should be assessed before the tooth damage becomes more extensive.
When the tooth can be restored without endodontic treatment or more extensive reconstruction, the damaged area is cleaned and filled with tooth-colored restorative materials. Modern white fillings support tooth restoration, restore function, and match the natural appearance of the tooth.
